Here’s another sample of what you’ll learn in the forthcoming Vegan / Vegetarian Mastery Program.
Hummus, baba ghanoush, guacamole, cheese, and nut butters are dense foods. When you eat them with bread, bagels, chips, or crackers, they’reĀ hard to digest. After all, these carbs are dense, dry, and refined. (And those made with white flour are little more than empty calories.)
By contrast, fresh fruits and vegetables are high in vitamins, minerals, fiber, and water content.
So instead of smearing cheese or nut butter on dry carbs, try smearing them on acidic fruits like oranges or apples.
(But don’t combine them with sweet fruits like bananas or raisins. You’ll find out why in the lesson called “How To End Indigestion With Proper Food Combining”.)
Likewise, when you eat dips like hummus, baba ghanoush, or guacamole (or cheese or nut butter), eat them with sliced vegetables, instead of bread, bagels, chips, or crackers.
Mineral-rich vegetables like celery and cucumbers are alkaline and high in water content. That makes the combination easier to digest.
(You’ll learn about the importance of eating alkaline foods in the lesson called “How To Maintain A Healthy Ph Balance”.)
Cream cheese tastes great smeared on celery sticks. We have one friend who served us celery sticks smeared with almond butter and agave nectar (a low glycemic sweetener). It was delicious!
Restaurants that serve hummus generally serve it with pita bread. However, when we ask them to substitute sliced cucumbers for the pita bread, almost all of them accommodate our request!
This habit has a double benefit: it helps you get more greens in your diet. Feel free to post a reply to this blog, or add suggestions of your own. And if you’re new to this blog, scroll down for more samples of what’s to come in the Mastery Program.

Hello , Divine Greetings. thank you for helping the world become vegan /vegetarians for the sake of health and sympathy to the living creatures.
I have been a vegetarian for 35 years of which vegan for 5 years.
( i do not eat onion, garlic, mushroom, eggs nor mustard leaves- all for reasons that affect my intense deep meditation practices.) our life does not end in good eating. we are a body mind and spirit so our good health should be utilized for mental and spiritual pursuits to complete our life’s purpose. Now, i also am working hard to increase raw foods in my diet along with being careful with pesticides in the vegetables and fruits.
it is hard to maintain organic because of high prices but it is harmful for raw food recipes if the food is not organic.
the most important foods that i have observed in this veg/vegan diets are
the green foods. that which has chlorophyll- extremely essential for maintaining the food for the endocrine glands(it feeds on chlorophyll) which houses the different layers of the mind or psychic centers (chakras) which ultimately houses
specific numbers of mental propensities (50 in all ie. fear, compassion, argumentativeness, stupor, anger, hatred, doubt, indecision etc ) the more greens and fruits one eats, the better for the balance secretions of the hormones from the endocrine glands which ultimately
plays a fundamental role in Mental balance, emotional balance and psychic strength./ parapsychological abilities.
As human beings we need to advance with all our human potentials, from imperfection to sublime fulfillment.
and that is to harness all – human and spiritual potentials.
Raw , vegan (fruits, root crops, raw , yoghurt,) interval dry or liquid fast along with the 4 phases of the moon monthly, doing good to others , humanitarian service and love for the creator and creation, fighting for
socio-economic justice etc. will contribute to our spiritual awakening.
this is the message i want to pass on to you as you would be a resource speaker for a lot of people now and in the future.
Indeed, we only have one planet now. so we must share the wisdom that we earn as we move along our life’s journey. my phone is 917-889-1438 . yours sisterly . Ame J.

Wooow, glad I read this. I love guacomole with corn chips or even as a spread on my bread. Just learned how to make a really yummie one and eating waaayyyy to much of this. I guess I will have to switch to cucumbers once in a while. Don’t have to worry about nut butters and cheese as I am allergic to one and have an intolerance for the other.

I love to have peanut butter (the organic, natural kind you have to stir before you eat it) with fresh-squeezed orange-juice. Yum!

This page helped me to better understand the process of digestion and why my body reacts the way it does to certain foods. Case in point; I have this lovely “mixture” I put together. I literally keep some in the fridge and eat generously from it throughout the day. It’s become a staple food for me and it’s the best “medicine” I have ever had. I mix a few cup of Almonds and walnuts (processed to crumbs in a food processor), 6 celery stalks diced smallish, 6-7 scallions chopped, 1 large avocado, a cup of pine nuts ( pureed), cayenne pepper, about 5-6 cloves of garlic (fresh and chopped), 2 medjool dates, lemon juice, apple cider vinegar, sea salt, etc… It’s actually a similair recipe as the one for Raw Vegan Mock Tuna except I go crazy with the garlic, celery and scallions!! LOL. It comes out like a chunky pate’ texture and I put some on a Romaine Heart leaf and fold it like a taco or scoop the mixture right out of the bowl with a staulk of celery. Sometimes I realize that I have eaten 4 or 5 celery stalks full of the “pate” because thats how good it is!!
Then, about 2 hours later… I’m running to the bathroom. When Im done I feel light and clean inside. Like the walls of my colon were exfoliated and rinsed free of debris. I am glad to have a chance to learn other ways to maximize my raw food intake and find more recipes and food combinations to get the very best results.
